Pregame Showcase Marks Twenty-Fifth Year

Pregame ShowcaseInitiated in 1989, each showcase features a thirty-minute presentation by all-star faculty followed by a fifteen-minute question-and-answer session. Presentations begin two hours before kickoff in the Carolyn P. Brown University Center Ballroom (Room 213). The carefully timed programs allow football fans to have plenty of time to enjoy the lecture and still get to the stadium by kickoff. Faculty presentations are developed for a general audience and address timely and interesting topics.

Guests attending the Pregame Showcase are greeted by the dean and staff of the College of Arts and Sciences. In addition, all participants have the opportunity to meet exceptional faculty from the college and socialize with other attendees.

A brief reception is held immediately following each program. A door prize—a gift bag full of coveted items contributed by UT Athletics— is awarded at the end of each program.

Whether you are a season ticket holder who attends every game, a UT Alumni visiting for a weekend, or a local resident interested in learning, you are invited to come stretch your mind at the Pregame Showcase. The program is free and open to the public.

There are two Pregame Showcase presentations scheduled for the remainder of the season.
