Renovation Update: After 89 Years, Ayres Hall Clocks Are Finally Ticking
As the saying goes, ‘Better late than never!’ Although original plans for UT’s iconic building called for clocks on the faces of the tower, the clock hands, motor and gears were never installed due to financial constrains. Now, nearly a century later, the tower of Ayres Hall has working clocks on each side, and the renovation process is one step closer to completion.
