Attorney Bill Haltom is Chair of the Healthcare Law Practice Group with Lewis Thomason in Memphis, Mr. Haltom is also an award-winning author, newspaper and magazine humor columnist. His columns have appeared over the years in the Commercial Appeal, Memphis’ largest daily newspaper, monthly in The Tennessee Bar Journal, and 24/7 on his blog, www.billhaltom.com. He’s the author of five books including his most recent, The Other Fellow May Be Right: The Civility of Howard Baker, a biography of the late Tennessee Senator Howard Baker. He has served as Chair of the Editorial Boards for four magazines, including the ABA Journal, the flagship publication of the American Bar Association. A popular speaker, Bill has delivered commencement addresses and has been the featured speaker at conventions, banquets, and leadership seminars. Bill has also served as the President of both the Tennessee Bar Association as well as the Memphis Bar Association. Bill received his B.A. from the University of Tennessee in 1975 and his J.D. from the University of Tennessee is 1978.
